Healing Visualization

Dear Westra Family and Friends September 30, 2006

We enjoyed the warmer weather this week here in Gunnison. Four light frosts hit us but our tomatoes have still been fine. The boys will probably pick them all today. Monday we had our family home evening on Jesus and healing. We also looked through the pictures the boys took on their own cameras, and watched something fun on the computer.

Tuesday my Mom and Dad came down and helped us with another area of sod. One more time and we will be done. It went quick with the help, and now that the boys are getting bigger and stronger also. I told the boys, “We can probably do the area next year on our own, if we need to.” But they said, “No, Grandma and Grandpa have to come down – it’s a tradition now!” Thanks for the help Mom and Dad.

Camden woke up this morning and said, “Yeah, I get sunburned today!” Whenever he gets to wear his tank top, he calls it his sunburn shirt because he got burned one day in the spring. It really made an impression.

Camden also wants to go to the zoo to borrow their anteater to eat the ants in our yard, so the ants won’t bite him. One morning early he told me, “I wonder if we can go to the zoo today to get the anteater?” We had to explain that the zoo probably won’t let us borrow the anteater, but that it is a great idea.

One more thing Camden said is, “Mom, when you were a baby, were you a boy or a girl?”

The boys have been enjoying their Statesmanship club. Conner was elected the scribe because of his neat handwriting, and Kadan was elected the treat officer. They use parliamentary procedure in the club so they learn it. Corin and Kadan are also involved in the younger group, called the Knights of Freedom. This week was the first activity, and they got to sword fight, and elect their own officers.

For the Statesmanship Club, the boys are reading Seven Habits for Highly Effective Teens, which has great stories, and is written by Stephen Covey’s son. This week they are learning about being proactive and not reactive.

Tuesday evening the boys also learned CPR for the Young Men activity. Thursday evening Casandra went to her book club, and the book for last month was Pride and Prejudice.

Last night we had our date night, and we just took our meal downstairs (away from boys) and talked about many things that we have wanted to share with each other. We really enjoyed it. Sometimes after a talk like that, I joke with her, “Hey, we’ll have to talk again sometime.” I’m half serious, because with the number of different activities we have, we really do have to plan in time to visit just with each other.

Today is conference, and the boys always love conference weekend. We turn on radios throughout the house, and they do massive lego projects. Have a super week!

Christopher, Casandra, Conner, Kadan, Corin, Camden, and Cayson.

Chris’s Ebooks and Marketing Work

In my business, I did another 10,000 tasks, and it took about a year. You may think it silly, documenting all I do, but it really keeps me on track throughout each day. I generally do 40 to 50 tasks each day, and I still color code each one.

So I can see at a glance whether I’m focusing on the tasks that really build my business. Those are the red and green items. It also helps me see how much I have done. Another benefit is it helps me to see the big picture. I think, “What do I want to accomplish in the next 10,000 tasks” and this helps me take on difficult or big projects that loom too large when considered from the perspective of a day or a month.

A healing visualization technique you can use.

Before anything at all can manifest in the outer, physical world, it must first manifest within the inner, non-physical worlds. This is a core principle that you probably know, but don't benefit from in the healing arena.

There are many forms of healing, but they are ultimately all involved with one thing; Energy. We, like everything else in the Universe, are pure Energy manifesting in an infinite number of ways.

I've posted a new article about a healing visualization technique you can use, based on this principle.

Healing Visualization

I shared it with my family the other night for a home evening. Adrian Cooper is the one who wrote about the healing visualization, and I'm always impressed with his writing.

Sincerely,

Christopher
