Dear Westra Family and Friends September 15, 2006

Wow, we are halfway through September already. Congratulations Shane and Derek on your new jobs! We hope you love them.

We are still looking for a new vehicle to replace our van if you know any reliable vehicles that seat about seven or eight for a few thousand dollars.

This week has been kind of nice and relaxing – not as many activities. Monday evening Kadan did family home evening – on faith. He prepared a great lesson, made peanut butter and carob treats for all, and we even played a family game afterward. We played Snapshots across America, which helps us learn about the different states.

I’m still getting the boys up for training each morning, but it’s dark now. I wake up Conner, Kadan, and Corin and sometimes Camden gets up and sometimes he doesn’t. He noticed how dark it was this morning and said, “We all woke up really late this morning”. He keeps mixing up “late” and “early”. Sometimes he mixes up “tomorrow” and “yesterday” and that is pretty laughable too!

Casandra is up in Orem today at a midwifery class, so I’m tending the rest of the boys. Kadan and I have our movie date planned for tonight, and he’s so excited.

Cayson is growing really chubby, and loves to laugh. He has been struggling with his sleeping at night somewhat, and Casandra is reading up on sleep books. Some nights he sleeps really well, and some nap times, and others he doesn’t.

Tomorrow Conner has a Scout activity called the Sanpete Challenge involving running and biking and lots of other activities. It’s a team event, and they each do the different events. I’m going to help out, but the weather looks kind of cold.

Our peaches are finally ripe, and we continue to get watermelon and cantaloupe from our “smaller” garden this year. Have a super week all, and keep your eye out for a van, or explorer, or some kind of vehicle.
