Dear Westra Family and Friends
November 18, 2006
Are you all getting ready for Thanksgiving? It looks like we will just
stay home, and maybe pick up Casandra’s Mom and bring her here for the
holiday.
Monday evening Kadan conducted our family home evening. He had a little
treasure hunt and the “treasure” was the scriptures, which we then read
and discussed. He also made chocolate covered strawberries. We’ve been
on a raw chocolate kick here at our house! We also had a song, and then
went downstairs and watched some little inspirational “movies” on the
computer that I’ve wamted to share with the family.
Tuesday night the older boys had their merit badge Pow Wow and Casandra
took Corin and Camden to see the play Miracle Worker at Snow College.
It’s the story of Helen Keller, and Corin’s little girl friend Briar
played the lead! They said it was very good.
On Thursday evening we had our “South” group colloquium at our house.
The book was Crunchy Cons and we had an exciting discussion about the
principles, and ended by talking a lot about the education of our
children. We are all parents of the children in the Statesmanship Club
and many of the parents are into the Thomas Jefferson Education
philosophy and George Wythe College. We are familiar with it, but need
to learn more.
The evening included a potluck dinner and that was fun also. The boys
watched a movie downstairs but did come up to partake of the food. They
always love it when they get a chance to eat different foods.
In preparation for our Ward Christmas Party, Corin has been making
hundreds of paper snowflakes. The other boys are helping also but Corin
is just really getting into it. He is also getting quite skilled and
turns out some exquisite and dainty snowflakes.
We have enjoyed the mild weather lately, but I do want to say that my
body does a lot better with the cold now that I am not on 100 percent
raw food. I used to get so cold when on the complete raw food diet and
that has changed, and wonderfully so! This is nice when out in the cold,
but also at all times. I used to be cold even indoors for much of the
time. I modified a traditional chicken soup recipe and created one that
Casandra and the boys just love. We ate just about the entire huge pot
for dinner. I’ll get the recipe on the web soon.
Friday the boys and I had a boys day here while Casandra spent the day
up North for errands. She hadn’t had a day like that for a while and
enjoyed it. She did take Cayson, of course. We call him her “appendage”
because he goes everywhere with her.
We’ve been enjoying The Time and Space of Uncle Albert with the boys,
learning about light and relativity. I ordered another book on Healthy
Teeth Birth to Death, or something like that. I’ve also been reading
Jampolsky’s book on Forgiveness, and several other books. Casandra is
into several also. We certainly love reading in our family.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving, and remember to Thank the Lord for everything
we have!
Christopher, Casandra, Conner, Kadan, Corin, Camden, and Cayson.

Here is a free audio meditation for you all

Meditation Audios
Yes, he just called me yesterday (with his fun accent) and asked me what
was up. We talked business, and customers, and skiing.
He offers a handful of meditation and breathing exercises you can use to
quiet your mind and increase your level of energy and health. When you
vibrate with energy, you simply enjoy life more!
These secrets are simple and yet tremendously powerful. Doing these
exercises on a daily basis, as simple as they are, will change your
life. And the funny thing is that many experienced
people are not aware of these exercises at all.
These secrets include:
How to work with the power of your subconscious mind to move you toward
what would truly fulfill you in your life.
How to keep your mind focused all the time (and what a blessing that
is!)
Well, that's enough, you can go listen up for yourself, right here.

Sincerely
Christopher
P.S. I want you to know that I sort through lots of "stuff" to find good
material to share with you. I've found lots recently that simply is not
good enough to share with you, but this is worth it. Plus, since the
audios are in his own voice, you get to hear Matt's accent! You
can also see my new light site at Light
is Real.
