Dear Westra Family and Friends October 14, 2006

Last Friday evening was the wedding shower for Derek and Danielle up in Salt Lake. Nearly everyone in the family was there, and we enjoyed a fun evening with dinner and visiting and gifts for soon to be married couple. We got to meet Danielle’s parents also.

Our four oldest boys stayed over with Grandma and Grandpa Westra and Cayson went with Casandra and I to the Crystal Inn. We got the Jacuzzi Suite and enjoyed the in room Jacuzzi and even put Cayson in one time. He really loved the warm water, and had always liked baths.

We think Cayson may be a leftie. He is grabbing toys (and anything) now and he usually grabs with his left hand. Corin is left-handed also. Cayson can now roll over both ways. Other than Conner, Cayson is our worst spitter-upper. We have “spit rags” strategically places throughout the house on every chair and couch. We’ve also learned to respond to the distress call of “spit rag” with astonishing speed as we toss a rag to whoever is holding the little guy.

Saturday we went and visited Grammy and then ran some errands. We were planning on going to the Museum of Peoples and Cultures, but it was closed! We also stopped at a dairy to get some milk and had a funny experience. We were driving into the dairy and noticed these turkeys walking around, which the people are raising organically to sell to health-conscious people.

Casandra asked, “Do we want to get a healthy turkey for Thanksgiving?” Then she added matter-of factly, “It will be dead.” Conner, ever astute in the back, broke himself away from the book he was reading and asked, “How can a dead turkey be healthy?” Yes, I suppose the turkey won’t be feeling too healthy at that point.

We also went and saw the house where Conner was born in Provo when we were still at BYU. We took everyone and went up to the door and I asked if we could come in and show our kids the house. She said OK and it was fun to explain to the boys where we lived 15 years ago.

Sunday we went back up to Salt Lake for the blessing of Mirella, Shane and Alicia’s baby.

Monday I did a family home evening on not being a sheep and following the crowd, but being unique. We talked about peer pressure. Conner is getting more of the “worldly attitudes” than we would like even just at Seminary, and we had a good discussion about it.

Tuesday I took the three oldest boys down to Richfield to see Justin run in the Region Cross-Country Meet. He had to get in the top ten to qualify for State and he took 5th place. He is really fast – I sure can’t keep up with him. Thursday Conner went golfing with the Young Men. They were out of school for UEA.

Friday the boys went over to the Manti Park for the Home School Group activity and they made topographical maps of the United States out of playdough. In the evening we watched a family video – Love Comes Softly, an incredibly wonderful story, and so clean. I cried. We will have to find more like that.

We have been bottling venison and tomatoes, and had our last watermelon and cantaloupe fest this morning. Well, that’s been our busy week. Enjoy each day of next week! It’s your life.

Chris’s Ebooks and Marketing Work

With this internet marketing work, I sometimes have delayed reactions to work that I do. I did an interview with someone in the UK a couple of months ago. Then at the start of this week he finally put the interview out to his newsletter list, and I made about $600.

Carol Tuttle finally put out the branded book that I built for her, with her affiliate links inside, and that went over very well also. Subscriptions to my newsletter were way up also because of these people sending traffic to my sites!

Carol sent out my free I Create Millions book in preparation for her upcoming “Manifesting More Money” Boot Camp Oct. 23-24, 2006. Carol is an excellent speaker and author and if you want to change your vibration about who you are and what you are capable of it in regards to money, then you may want to attend.
